The history of Jerusalem is so very old and complicated and this is the only thing I will say about it. We were there, in the holy city to feel and see with our eyes.
Saad our guide is leading us through the small and narrow streets of Jerusalem. We will cover all the way that Jesus Christ did when he was crucified and stop at every stop he maid. The vendors don’t want to miss any opportunity so they lure us with some of the various fruits, sweets or juices. The smell of all spices accompanies us all over. But this time we are only interested in stepping on the same rock that thousands years ago Jesus Christ did.
The route begins with the court where He was quickly judged by the jury and then the prison where He was imprisoned together with those two thieves.
Our guide is sneaking between all this people while telling us the story: Here is the fourth station where Jesus met his mother…the 5th station where he put his hands on the wall, here Veronica cleaned Jesus face of blood and sweat. The Via Dolorosa is ending with the church where they keep the stone from the grave and where the people come to pray and light a candle.
There are many places full field of religion and history in Jerusalem but being for the first time here I’d say that this was the first thing to do.
In Jerusalem you see almost every religion on earth, so many churches and people of different kinds. You would say that just for one moment everybody may sit at the same table. Another thing that impressed me was the wailing wall. They say that the west wall of Jerusalem is 3000 thousand years old and the Devine presence here will read all the notes full field with wishes or thanking thoughts. Every body is coming here hoping and praying for the best.
