We meet again after a short break to talk about the best cities for Christmas. Hope you missed me because I surely missed you!
Christmas is so close and it brings so many nice memories from the places I’ve been too in this magical time of the year. For those who didn’t have enough time to make any plans or they are so tired that couldn’t come up with any idea regarding the winter holiday, I have these amazing tips about some of the most beautiful cities for Christmas.
I heard there is even a contest between cities that have the most beautiful winter fairs. I think that everybody will vote in favor for the next three ones.
Sibiu Christmas Market
Let’s start with Sibiu, Romania because it comes from the country I live in. Sibiu’s winter market becomes more beautiful and enchanting every year. The people organizing it really make a good job offering the locals and tourist the best time for Christmas. You’ll find there all kind of attractions, starting with concerts; souvenirs, wine and so much more, in one word an unforgettable experience. Sibiu Christmas Market was opened for the first time in 2007 when Sibiu was the European Cultural Capital. Some beautiful people from Romania and Austria thought of doing something nice together and they created a tradition that gathers people from all over the world. Vienna Winter Market
Because I already mentioned something about Vienna here, the other city where I would send you for Christmas is this! I am allowed to say that it is my favorite one? Well, I said it! Spending some days from your winter holiday in Vienna always turns out to be a great idea. Just make sure you have a nice winter jacket and be prepared for a fairy-like time. Nice and good taste decorations, playground for kids, chestnuts and wine. You can even meet these two handsome guys from the picture below. This is another place where you’ll meet people from all over the world waiting for the magic night of the year.
New York’s Christmas time
If looking from the European’s point of view this one is a bit far across the ocean but so much worth it! Christmas days spent in New York City will for sure enchant you forever. You really feel the magic in the air and enjoy every time of the day. And in case you are in the Christmas Market when it starts to snow, I think you are a lucky one. There are so many famous places with Christmas trees or lights in NYC and you need to see them all.
That is my idea for Christmas in case you are planning not to stay at home.
