Best Travel Movies
This is a story about an American tourist and a French student that meet on a train from Budapest to Vienna. They seem to have a connection and decide to spend the day in Vienna, postponing any other plans. They wander from place to place in Vienna and talk about their philosophies of life. I don’t want to ruin the movie for you, if you want to find out more, watch the movie, it’ll be worth your time.
Out of Africa
A Danish woman moves to Africa with her husband to start a coffee plantation but things get kind of complicated so she has to stay at home a lot, working on the plantation. She becomes closer to some people she met on her first day in Africa and goes on safari with them, gaining a better understanding for the African culture.
That man from Rio
Adrian is planning to go on an 8-day trip to Paris to see his fiancée, Agnes, which is kidnapped as two Indians steal an Amazon statue from a museum. Agnes believes the statue is one of the keys that hold the secret of the Amazon treasure so the thieves drug her and take her to Rio, followed by Adrian. Things get a lot more complicated once they arrive, obviously. This is a movie definitely worth watching.
A princess played by Audrey Hepburn starts a tour of some European capitals. While in Rome she starts feeling tired and frustrated by her insane schedule so her doctors give her a sedative. She then decides to leave the embassy and visit Rome by herself, but surprise. The sedative makes her fall asleep on a bench. Many more plots if you decide to watch the movie.
The African Queen
Two brothers, British missionaries in a village at the beginning of World War I decide to stay put when they hear that war has broken out between Germany and Britain. They witness as the Germans burn the village and beat up the protesters. They decide to get back at the Germans and have a plan to take down their ship. Will they succeed? Find out by watching this amazing movie.
Bonus: Eat Pray Love
Elizabeth had a great job, great home and a successful career as a writer. However, she was stuck in an unhappy marriage so she decided to get a divorce. After some unsuccessful rebound relationships, she spent the next year traveling around the world.
