Sapa, in Vietnam, is situated near the border with China. This is a difficult place to reach but you can drive or take the train. Once you get there you’ll find some local villagers with very interesting beliefs and traditions. For example, some women dye their teeth black using vegetables. They believe white teeth are a sign of demons and evil while the black teeth are also considered a sign of beauty.
