Baan Huay Kee Lek is an ethnic Akha village in Thailand. This is an isolated place with very few visitors but with great local traditions and values. You can join the locals on their daily routine; this will help you understand them better. Local people are very friendly and love to share their living traditions with guests. Visits can be scheduled to coincide with ceremonies that take place every month.
Sapa, in Vietnam, is situated near the border with China. This is a difficult place to reach but you can drive or take the train. Once you get there you’ll find some local villagers with very interesting beliefs and traditions. For example, some women dye their teeth black using vegetables. They believe white teeth are a sign of demons and evil while the black teeth are also considered a sign of beauty.
Katrathal is an ancient village in India that was founded 5000 years ago.
This village is known for its pottery making and agricultural activities. If you decide to visit you will not be sorry. The visitors are blown away by the incredible sights this village has to offer, but there is more. You can also enjoy horse riding and the cultural nights with the locals.
