What can you do on a nice Sunday spring day? Mytravelstudio voted for a recent history lesson that took place in nature visiting a 19th century castle. Built by the Wilczek family, Kreuzenstein castle was constructed out of sections of medieval structures brought from all over Europe so that we can now talk about a neo and original medieval structure.

Count Hans Wilczek is known throughout  history as the main sponsor of the Austro- Hungarian North Pole expedition. He was also an art lover and the castle we are talking about houses his art collection. The castle is often confused with the medieval Burg Lichstenstein, where the movie The Three Muscheteers was filmed, twenty years ago. This beautiful place in nature can be easily reached by bicycle and it’s only half an hour from Vienna.

I am Anamaria and trilled to welcome you to My Travel Studio. Besides a nice reading & some perfect photo moments I am glad to share with you the adventure that will inspire your own story.
