We admit it was very hard for us to choose 5 of the most amazing events that will happen this year. It’s pretty clear that no matter where you choose to go, you’ll find amazing history, traditions and people. As hard as it was though, here they are- 5 events around the world worth traveling for. It doesn’t matter if you are a sports lover, history lover, nature lover, you’ll find interesting and great things to do, no matter where you choose to go.
April: Barcelona Beer Festival
Get ready for 3 days of partying and beer. The annual Barcelona Beer Festival gathers thousands of tourists from all over the world. The event takes place at the Cupula de las Arenas and has over 200 unique international brews. You can take lectures from beer masters and experts from all over the world and exchange information and tastes with tourist. This will give you a very interesting experience and is without a doubt beer Heaven.

April: National September 11 Memorial Museum, New York
New York’s National September 11 Memorial will finally see daylight this spring. The memorial will pay homage to the 3,000 people who lost their lives on the day of the terrorist attacks. Americans definitely know how to pay respects to their lost ones, personal stories, photos, details of what happened that day, all in chronological order will be related in this Memorial. You will also be able to pay your respect in the quiet galleries. Millions of people are expected to visit this Memorial in the upcoming years.

May: Streetfest, London
Street culture, performance art, live music, film, dance, fashion and sport. The Streetfest in London is one of the few events that gathers all these activities together. StreetFest performers are drawn from a collective of creative painters, architects, designers, illustrators, skaters and writers who live to express themselves through their art.

June: 2014 FIFA World Cup, Brazil
You don’t have to be a football fan to visit Brazil in June, that’s for sure. Besides the incredible atmosphere from the football matches, Brazil has made some important upgrades, so to speak. They build new and modern stadiums, hotels, parking spaces, and modified the whole transport system. Millions of tourist and football fans will visit all the host cities throughout June so these modifications all well received. Speaking of, 12 cities across the country will host the matches, including- Sao Paolo, Brasilia, Natal and even Manaus, from the middle of the Amazon rainforest.

Centenary of WW1
We have come a long way and it is pretty great to see the whole world come together to commemorate all the lives lost in the World War I. The first soldier killed was in Belgium on August 4, 1914. This means Belgium will lead the way with exhibitions and commemorative events all over the battlefields of Flanders in northern Belgium. This will be a pretty amazing experience, you will definitely not be sorry if you have the chance to see it.
