How to dress on the beach
Whenever I leave on a trip I start packing early and think about what I need so I won’t forget something. I’m not exactly sure how is this working out for you but I always seem to be missing something once I arrive. It happened on my last trip, so this article will help me as much as it will help you too. Take a look at some items you shouldn’t leave without when going on the beach.
Most important, the bathing suit. There are plenty of style options to choose from but bikini remains the most popular one. Finding the right swimsuit is very important, if you don’t feel comfortable with a bikini, go with a one piece item, they are very stylish and you’ll feel great wearing them.
Beach wraps are some other essential items for an easy cover up. If you decide to go for a quick lunch near the beach, they are perfect to cover yourself fast and easy. Usually restaurants don’t accept undressed clients. The best ones are from cool cotton and non-wrinkle knit. Leave the silk cover up for a day at the pool; you might ruin them with all the sand.
Next on our list is a beach hat. It will help provide a bit of shade on a hot summer day on the beach. We suggest you leave the expensive hats at home and bring straw or cotton hats. Tall women can choose large hats with no problems but if you’re a bit shorter go for a hat that’s no wider than your shoulders.
Flat sandals or flip-flops work great for a relaxing day at the beach. It’s very important to protect your feet from the hot sand and the 2 items are very practical. They don’t take a lot of space in your luggage like the high heel sandals, for example. Last ones mentioned should be left at home or wear them at dinner.
Almost forgot the beach bag. You will need a preferably large one for all your stuff: beach towel, sunglasses, sun lotion, and whatever you’ll decide to take with you on the beach. A pricey bag is not recommendable, keep in mind it will be exposed to the hot sun and sand.
Now, you are almost set for a great day at the beach. You’ll also need some reading material, beach towel, sunglasses, protection lotion, a long sleeve shirt and all the important items from above. There’s still one thing missing though. Your carefree attitude and you’re ready to go. One more tip, make sure you drink plenty of water/ liquids; you’ll need to stay hydrated.
