Spring/Summer 2014 fashion trends
First of all, let me just say I’m so happy about writing this article and that spring is finally here. So, if you were going to hit the shops this weekend and don’t know what the latest fashion trends are, here are some useful tips.
First of all make sure you don’t buy some clothes that will make you shiver when leaving the house, it’s still March and there’s still some chilliness in the air. This is just to be sure you won’t regret the credit card bill in case the temperature falls again.
Let’s start with pastels; they are very fashionable this spring. Neon colors were a huge trend last year so the fact that 2014 is going to be the year of pastels is not really a shocker. Try colors like peach, coral, cream and white and mix the up with some long skirts and oversized blazers, all of them also very “in” this year.

The tropical floral is very hot this season mainly because of Dior and Raf Simons. Toying with our perception of the real and the imagined, plants of wisteria, roses and lianas were intertwined with foliage painted in canary yellow, fuchsia pink and chlorophyll green at Dior’s SS14 show. Just so you have an idea of what we are talking about, look at the picture below.

Fashion is always being inspired by art, we all know that. The trend continues this year as well, Art Fest themes are one of the key inspirations for some important designers. It’s always great to have diversity in fashion and this trend will make sure the result for this season will be illustrated by everything from graphite, paint brushes and spray cans.

Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs confirmed what some of you might already know. Denim is a must have this season. You can wear your boyfriend’s jeans with some colorful tops and high heels. This look is not exactly news, it’s in the trends for a long time now but you can never fail with it. You will be cool and trendy at all times.
